Heard Museum’s Harvest Feast on Thanksgiving Day features five sumptuous buffets featuring Native American foods and celebrates the generosity shown by American Indians at the first Thanksgiving. Chef Freddie Bitsoie (Diné) has created five “edible galleries.” Four of the gallery buffets explore Native foods from the four corners of the U.S., while the fifth buffet showcases foods form the traditional” Thanksgiving meal.

Dinner is from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost is $60 for Heard Museum adult members, $70 for adult non-members, and $30 for children 12 and under. (Price does not include alcoholic beverages or gratuity. Museum admission additional.)

Quiessence Restaurant at The Farm at South Mountain

Quiessence Restaurant at The Farm at South Mountain will be offering three seatings for Thanksgiving dinner – 12:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The first course will be a choice of creamy foraged mushroom and roasted chestnut soup or roasted local beet and apple salad with applewood smoked cheddar, baby greens and date cider vinaigrette. The second course choices will be slow roasted heritage turkey with sage gravy and fresh cranberry sauce or baked stuffed New England lobster or wild venison “two ways” or creamy “coal fire” polenta with roasted winter vegetables. All options will be served with family style accompaniments of creamed spinach, whipped potatoes, candied carrots and classic cornbread stuffing. Dessert will be a
choice of house baked pumpkin pie with whipped cream or warm Arizona apple crisp with vanilla ice cream

The cost will be $65.00 per person and $29.00 for children under 12.

Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa

Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa will offer two Thanksgiving Day dinner experiences for Valley families, including a plated feast in the ballroom highlighting local Arizona produce and a stunning holiday buffet overlooking the resort’s golf course fairways at The Grill.

The Mohave Ballroom will feature a Thanksgiving Day family-style dinner, featuring a local menu with Arizona produce and fare and a plated family-style meal, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Start with a farm fresh salad featuring local farm baby greens and goat cheese, sun-dried cranberries and candied walnuts. Family-style entrees feature Arizona honey-rubbed ham and southwest-spiced Tom turkey, accompanied by sautéed local green beans, focaccia and forest mushroom stuffing, roasted garlic and herb smashed potatoes and sweet potato soufflé. For dessert, interactive chef’s stations will feature homemade crepes filled with cinnamon-spiced Granny Smith apples and gourmet doughnuts with vanilla, chocolate, caramel, raspberry and mango dipping sauces. The Grill at the Wigwam, with sweeping views overlooking the resort’s picturesque greens and fairways, will feature a holiday buffet dinner from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Local fruits, a farmer’s green salad and fresh cranberry sauce with cilantro, caramelized ginger and orange zest will accompany a line-up of favorite holiday side dishes. Choose from savory corn bread dressing, whipped potatoes with boursin cheese, candied yams with marshmallow char, sautéed blue lake snap peas, warm brussels sprout salad and New England clam and potato dumpling soup. Entrée stations include roasted turkey breast and holiday-spiced pork loin and for dessert, a chef’s selection of pies including apple, pumpkin, pecan and chocolate meringue and vanilla bean ice cream with hot apple cider reduction and sun-kissed cranberries. For football fanatics, The Grill will also have several televisions available broadcasting Thanksgiving Day football! The cost is $35 for adults and $19 for children ages 5-12. Last, but not least, a holiday care package drive for the troops will also be hosted Thanksgiving Day for Blue Star Moms. Everything from trail mix to crossword puzzles can be donated all day on Thanksgiving Day at the Wigwam. Each person that donates will be entered to win a complimentary stay at the Wigwam with dinner for two at the new signature restaurant.
