Hotel Valley Ho

Both of the restaurants at Hotel Valley Ho in downtown Scottsdale, Trader Vic’s and Café ZuZu, will be hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year.

Trader Vic’s, the Polynesian classic reborn with Valley Ho flair, will be offering a special Thanksgiving menu and their full regular menu from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Thanksgiving menu will include a choice from three starters (Butternut Squash Bisque, Morel Mushroom and Leek Tart, and Roasted Beet Salad), three entrees (Chinese Oven-Roasted Red Bird Farms Turkey, Pepper Seared Beef Tenderloin, and Pumpkin Seed-Crusted Salmon Filet), and two desserts (Pecan Tart and Pumpkin Pie). Café ZuZu, a seasonal American comfort food restaurant, will be offering a special Thanksgiving breakfast feature and a pre fixe dinner menu in addition to their full regular menu. Breakfast will be available from 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and dinner will be from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Thanksgiving breakfast feature will be $12. The pre fixe dinner menu will include the choice of two starters (Brussels Sprout Salad and Butternut Squash Soup), Slow-Roasted Red Bird Farms Turkey as the entrée, the choice of Pumpkin or Pecan Pie for dessert. JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa is offering delicious holiday menus this Thanksgiving at Tuscany, Meritage Steakhouse and Blue Sage Restaurant.

Tuscany, a restaurant featuring authentic Italian comfort flavors including hand-crafted pastas, will be serving a prix fixe dinner offering a choice of light and dark menus. The Tuscany Thanksgiving light menu starts with an amuse bouche of Tuscan white bean soup followed by panzanella with golden beet, buffalo mozzarella and walnuts. The entree features a choice of rotisserie white turkey breast with carrots, whipped potatoes and sage gravy; sea bass with crab, cauliflower and linguini; or mushroom agnolloti with mascarpone and crispy shallot. For the dark menu, an amuse bouche of red kuri pumpkin soup and an appetizer of wild arugula with red beets, and smoked mozzarella topped with cranberry vinaigrette will tantalize the taste buds. The entree choices are a crispy fried dark turkey leg with confit ravioli and brussel sprouts in brown butter and sage; grilled rib eye with Vialone Nano risotto, black cherry, bresaola and Parmigiano; or black garlic strozzapreti with lamb sausage, pecorino and mint. Desserts for both menus feature a classic pumpkin pie with spiced crème fraiche, olive oil rosemary gelato and Florentine cookie. The Tuscany Thanksgiving dinner will be offered from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on November 25. The cost is $45 for adults and $20 for children ages 12 and under.

Enjoy sweeping views of Wildfire Golf Club’s green fairways on the patio of Meritage Steakhouse, which will also be serving a holiday prix fixe dinner. The Thanksgiving menu includes entree choices of Amish organic free-ranch turkey breast, cedar plank wild salmon or house-smoked Brandt prime rib. Sides will be served family style including organic green beans, fried onions, sweet potato marshmallow gratin and chestnut apple-sausage stuffing. Dessert will offer a duet of Thanksgiving traditions, featuring pumpkin spice bread pudding with milk chocolate-maple ice cream and sweet potato pie with pecan brittle. The Thanksgiving menu at Meritage Steakhouse will be offered from 3:00 to 9:30 p.m. on November 25. The cost is $55 for adults and $28 for children ages 12 and under.

For a grand Thanksgiving buffet with a contemporary American flair, make your dinner reservations at Blue Sage. An elaborate buffet will feature Iowa ham with honey-mustard glaze; slow-roasted turkey with sage giblet gravy; or applewood-smoked prime rib. The buffet includes winter vegetable hash, mixed roasted vegetables, whipped sweet potatoes and a baked potato bar. Action stations of seafood, salads, artisanal meats, caviar and antipasto will complete the Thanksgiving feast. The Blue Sage Thanksgiving buffet, served from noon to 6:00 p.m. on November 25, is $58 per adult and $28 for children ages 12 and under. Picturesque outdoor seating is available.

Arizona Biltmore

The Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix will be offering Thanksgiving dinner options at the Gold Room, Wright’s at the Biltmore and Frank & Albert’s.

A Thanksgiving buffet will be hosted in the Gold Room from 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The buffet will feature a variety of holiday and favorite dishes served in the gracious setting of the historic Gold Room. The extensive menu includes traditional Thanksgiving favorites and amuse, soup and salad, charcuterie, seafood, saute, entrees and dessert stations, plus a kid’s buffet. The cost is $75 for adults and $34 for children 12 and under. This price includes specially selected wines and non-alcoholic beverages.

Chef de Cuisine Conor Favre has created a five-course Thanksgiving dining experience in the resort’s signature restaurant, Wright’s at The Biltmore, from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. For the first course, select Butternut Squash or Chestnut-Potato Soup; second course, Sea Salt Roasted Beets or Hand Picked Field Greens Salad; third course, Spaghetti Squash Pillows or Duck Confit; fourth course, Applewood Smoked Turkey Breast, Cindered Filet of Beef, Sweet Balsamic Glazed Lamb or Coho Salmon; and desserts, Toasted Pumpkin and Marshmallow Puff, Candied Pecan-Chocolate Terrine or Tribute to Raspberry. Perfectly matched wine pairings by the Sommelier will enhance the dining experience. The cost is $75 for adults and $40 for children 12 and under.

The Arizona Biltmore’s innovative restaurant, Frank & Albert’s, will be preparing a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimming that will be served “family style,” from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The first course will offer Roasted Butternut Squash Soup or Baby Spinach Salad; second course, Sliced Oven-Roasted Free-Range Turkey Breast; and for dessert, Schnepf Farm’s Pumpkin Pie or Chocolate Pecan Pie. The cost is $45 per person.

Celebrate all you have to be thankful for this year and leave the preparation to Prado Restaurant at Montelucia.
