The Arrogant Butcher at CityScape in Downtown Phoenix will offer its normal brunch menu, in addition to dishes created just for Mother’s Day. Specials include Slow Roasted Prime Rib with creamed spinach and marsala glazed shiitake mushrooms and Alaskan Halibut with hearts of palm, English peas, and tangerines. Choose from several dishes, such as Dungeness Crab Salad with baby greens, fennel, sweet corn, and smoked tomato vinaigrette, Italian Sausage Scramble with caramelized onions, zucchini, spinach and parmesan potatoes and a Grilled Meatball Burger with smoked mozzarella and crushed tomato. Modern Steak

Modern Steak at Scottsdale Fashion Square is serving a three course, prix-fixe menu for $30 per person on Mother’s Day from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. From the prix-fixe menu, first course selections include Vanilla Yogurt Parfait, Lobster Chowder “New England Style,” and a Chopped Salad. A variety of entrées will be available, such as an 8 oz. Sirloin Steak and Eggs with breakfast potatoes; Eggs Benedict with smoked ham, tomato hollandaise, and fresh basil; Artichoke Tortelli with mushrooms, Cippollini onions, roasted tomatoes, and asparagus.
