Restaurant of the Week: Phoenix City Grille

Driving past 16th street and Bethany you’ll notice a charming little restaurant known to the locals who frequent this wonderful culinary destination as the Phoenix City Grille. Located on the Southwest corner of this busy intersection, Phoenix City Grille has been entertaining the Greater Phoenix community with its warmth and friendly atmosphere for over 16 years.

Newly remodeled with a colorful contemporary new look, sleek granite bar top, open bar and patio space, added private dinning room space for up to 50 peopleĀ and a redesigned menu; Fabulous Arizona was invitedĀ for a sneak peak of Phoenix City Grille’s new fall menu.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the delightful Bethany Home Salad made with mixed greens, grilled chicken, tomatoes, hard-cooked egg, honey lime vinaigrette, peanut sauce, crispy tortilla strips. Truly a treat for the senses.

Next, we tried the Oaxacan chile and maple syrup brine-grilled pork chop with a natural cider reduction, butternut squash and Schreinerā€™s sausage hash and picked red cabbage. The combination of flavors and textures amused our taste buds and had us wishing for more.

The main entrĆ©e included the 16th Street braised beef short rib with Cabernet wine-smoked bacon sauce and horseradish mashed potatoes and baby carrots.Ā A lovely dish on its own and is sure to satisfy anyĀ cravingĀ for the tender and succulent meat.

And last,Ā which is certainly everyone’s favorite, was the Croissant Bread Pudding Jack Danielā€™s made with whiskey lime and caramel sauce.

Phoenix City Grille is opened Monday 11am-9pm, Tuesday-Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 10am-10pm.
