The hottest actresses hit the red carpet at the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards and stunned us with more than just their dresses… their nails were eye catching, as well. The SAG Awards are known for starting new trends as actresses commonly unveil classic gown designs with a new and trendy aspect, and their nails were no different this year. Known for a trendy take on classic gown designs, the hottest actresses stunned on the red carpet this past weekend at the Grammy Awards. On top of Lupita Nyong’o’s gorgeous turquoise Gucci dress, and impressive Best Supporting Actress Grammy Award snag, the ‘12 Years a Slave’ actress stole the show with a golden manicure. To get Nyong’o’s red carpet-stealing look, “create a combination of a gold glitter polish with a gold chrome polish,” said 20 Lounge marketing director, Erica Profitt. “It is the combination of the two nail polishes that truly make her nails pop against her dress.”

Another star of the Grammy Awards was Jennifer Lawrence as she nailed her hair, makeup and, dress choice, which she  – and topped it all off with a soft pink manicure. Paired with her stunning sequined Dior dress, Lawrence’s pale pink nails completed her look. Like Nyong’o’s manicure, Profitt suggests a polish combination by applying “one coat of a sheer pink and adding a second layer of a shimmering pink nail polish.” for a soft, feminine look with a contemporary twist of shimmer.

Although ‘Scandal’ star Kerry Washington made headlines with her baby bump-bearing Prada crop top, what truly made her stand out on the red carpet was her dark manicure.
