Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants unveiled a $1 million redesign at Amara Resort & Spa in Sedona, Arizona that included a refresh of the resorts’ 100 guest rooms, all common areas and a new restaurant, SaltRock.
The redesign is being called “modern native” – incorporating Native American and Southwestern styles with a modern twist.
A unique feature of Amara’s redesigned guest rooms is live-edge wooden headboards that were individually crafted from fallen trees and vary from room-to-room. The combination of Southwestern elements with modern touches makes the room comfortable and inviting.
The outdoor area was our favorite, with comfortable chairs and fire pits in the lounge and lawn areas and the 26,000-gallon infinity edge saltwater pool that overlooks the serene Oak Creek and red rocks. It creates such a relaxing atmosphere that you never want to leave.
Kimpton Hotels are known for being incredibly dog-friendly, so we were very pleased to bring our furry friends along for a weekend getaway! We were so impressed by the level of accommodation for the pets. Our two dogs were greeted with dog beds, dog dishes, toys and treats, making them feel right at home.
