Girl Scout Cookie Dessert Challenge

Move over, Valentine’s Day! There is an even sweeter event this month – the Girl Scout Cookies Dessert Challenge.

From February 1 to February 29, more than a dozen Valley chefs have partnered with the Local Girl Scout Council on this special event.

Their mission – use their culinary prowess to re-imagine one of the beloved flavors of Girl Scout cookies into a custom dessert menu item. Each restaurant has agreed to feature its dessert on its menu from February 1 to February 29, 2016, with a portion of the proceeds from each dessert sold directly supporting Girl Scouting and the local Council in our community.

Your mission – taste them all!

About Girl Scouts
We’re the Girl Scouts – the largest organization for girls in the world. It began over 100 years ago with one woman, Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low, who believed in the power of every girl. Today, we continue her vision of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place by helping them discover their inner strength, passions and talents. And with the best leadership experiences and programs available, there’s a chance for every girl to do something amazing. Girl Scouts was founded in Savannah, Georgia, on March 12, 1912 and chartered by the United States Congress on March 16, 1950. Our local council, GSACPC, held its first Annual Meeting in 1936 and was incorporated in the State of Arizona in 1940.

Today, we’re 2.8 million strong across the United States – 1.8 million girl members and 500,000 adult members – who believe every girl can change the world. In Arizona, Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus- Pine Council (GSACPC) serves more than 24,000 girls in grades K-12 with the help of more than 11,000 adult members who act as troop leaders, mentors, program assistants, consultants, and board members.
