Taco Guild New Brunch Menu

Taco Guild New Brunch Menu

Taco Guild in Central Phoenix has introduced their new Brunch menu that features both savory and sweet brunch items as intriguing as the redeveloped Methodist church.

Walking into Taco Guild is like walking into Arizona history. The once Osborn school, turned church, turned one of Phoenix hottest restaurants was built in 1893 for only $30. In 2012 the building was deconsecrated and in my opinion put into the most perfect hands. The Z’Tejas Group has miraculously renovated this 19th century building to a modern collaboration of stained glass windows, church pews, and the original church alter that hosts over 100 + tequila collection. Their focus on sustainability and repurposing is not only translated in this spiritual experience it also translates in their food.

The recently named #2 Best Mexican Food restaurant in the Nation decided to bring their expertise to brunch! With a perfectly selected brunch menu featuring a combination of traditional Mexican brunch options and creative takes on brunch staples, the Taco Guild definitely got it right!

The Micheladas and Mimosas are flowing and are two-for-one during brunch. The team continues to focus on their brunch drink menus and have some exciting brunch inspired cocktails in the works. Check out Taco Guild collection of locally brewed beers on tap and their extensive tequila menu.

Being that the menu is one of the most perfect brunch menus I’ve seen, I will start with the shining star dish, The Coconut French Toast. Made with Tres Leches custard, cinnamon, cardamom, torta bread, roasted coconut and topped with fresh fruit, honey cinnamon butter, and spiced maple syrup, this is by far the BEST French Toast I have ever had. It is truly the star of the menu and should be experienced by all.

If you’re looking for a more savory option, try The Chorizo Con Papas and Eggs. Made with Schreiner’s chorizo, peppers, onions, and served with two eggs, borracho beans and two flour tortillas, the perfect spice this dish brings is not only delicious, but great if you’ve had one too many Corona’s that night before.

If you’re looking for lighter fare check out the Guild Parfait which is a combination of orange agave fat-free yogurt, fresh mint, berry compote, and house made granola. Another light option is the Huevos Rancheros Quinoa Bowl with southwestern seasoned quinoa, spiced crema, eggs and avocado.
