Hometown: I was born in Paramus, NJ
First job: My first job was at TCBY, a frozen yogurt chain, as a yogurt pourer and peanut butter shake connoisseur. YUM!
Favorite AZ restaurant: I love Zinc Bistro for their awesome menu and ambience. Some of my favorites are the bread, mussels, and chocolate soufflé.
Person who has impacted your life the most: My mother has impacted my life in many ways and was who most influenced me to consider a career in naturopathic medicine. It was as if she had a sixth sense that this career field would be a better fit for my personality and skillsets compared to other industries.
Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: My identical twin daughters, by far. Being a part of their creation will likely result in a humanitarian ripple effect that far exceeds my own.
The biggest obstacle you have overcome: Getting divorced. It forced me to take a good hard look at my part in the successes or failures in a relationship.
Someone who inspires you: My parents are who inspire me the most. They have been married for 45 years and still make daily sacrifices for what is most important to them. They have their priorities straight.
Favorite quote: “…If you work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desires.” ― Malcolm Gladwell
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Consider all of your options, realize that you will be taking a calculated risk, be prepared to swim against the current, stay strong in the face of bias, criticism and ignorance as these things are all too pervasive, and never lose sight of your purpose.
What makes someone fabulous: The courage and confidence to be the most authentic version of themselves.
