Wedding Planning: Where to Start?

Award Winning Event and Wedding Planner Nicole Arend is sharing her wedding knowledge and expertise with us every month. Getting engaged is so exciting, but when it comes time to start the wedding planning, it can be completely overwhelming. This month, Nicole Arend shares with us some tips on how to get started.

Now that you are engaged and you’ve proudly shown off your new ring on your finger, its time to start making decisions.

To start, decide what time of year do you want to get married and a date range. It’s best not to choose a specific date but be flexible since some venues book up over a year in advance.

Finding a venue can be one of the biggest challenges, so before you choose your venue think about what style of wedding you want: Outdoor, Modern, Country Club, Garden, Tuscan. The list can go on, but think about the style and vibe you want to set for your wedding.

Check out magazines, real weddings online and ask friends about their weddings to spark inspiration which will lead you to finding the perfect venue or style!

If you are a busy couple, have a demanding job or the idea of planning a wedding scares you, consider hiring a wedding planner. Wedding Planners can help with everything or as little as you need.
