True Food Kitchen at Scottsdale Quarter

Much to our delight, Fox Restaurant Concepts is welcoming guests to its third True Food Kitchen location at Scottsdale’s new shopping and dining destination, Scottsdale Quarter.

Doors opened to the public on Monday, November 15, but Fabulous Arizona got a sneak peek (and taste!) of the newest True Food Kitchen before the opening. We had somehow never been to the first Arizona location at the Biltmore. Being that we are huge fans of all the Fox restaurants, we were quite excited to check it out.

The True Food Kitchen atmosphere is fresh and modern with lemon yellow and apple green decor and wood tones throughout. This location at Scottsdale Quarter boasts an expansive wrap-around 3,500-square-foot outdoor patio space with stunning views of the McDowell Mountains. This is a huge perk for those looking to enjoy a meal in the perfect Arizona fall weather.

The concept of True Food Kitchen and its menu was developed in partnership with Fox Restaurant Concepts and best-selling author Dr. Andrew Weil. Under the guidance of Chef Michael Stebner, True Food Kitchen offers global cuisine influenced by Mediterranean, Asia and California for a balanced lifestyle. Menu items feature high quality grains, vegetables, wild caught fish, certified angus natural beef and free range chicken in pure, simple dishes, using locally or regionally sourced products.

The quality of ingredients and thought behind each dish is definitely evident. One dish we tried was the Shaved Turkey Sandwich, which was served in a pita with tomato, onion, grape and yogurt dressing. It was a delicious combination that had a light and refreshing taste. The meal was served with Sweet Potato Hash or Tuscan Kale Salad – we opted for half of each and both sides were to die for. We also tried the Organic Ricotta Ravioli, which was perfect in taste and portion.

Although the water served at a restaurant is often not worthy of mentioning, the Natural Water Purification Unit True Food Kitchen uses is remarkable. The water was absolutely crystal clear and tasted just as pure as it looked.

It’s doubtful one can go wrong with anything on the menu, but other dishes we plan to try on our future visits to True Food include the Harvest Chopped Salad, Grass Fed Bison Burger, Panang Curry and the Fish Tacos.
