What to wear? The dreaded question for every major event, and even more so for the Waste Management Phoenix Open that happens every year in Scottsdale. So many things to consider for this particular event since you’ll be outdoors, walking through grass (making heels a definitely no-no) and you of course want to be dressed to impress since this is one of the biggest events of the year.

So we turned to fashion guru and Marketing Director for Scottsdale Quarter, Alison Goodman, for some advice on what to wear to the Phoenix Open this year. Here are looks Goodman recommends, using pieces from Express at Scottsdale Quarter.

Outfit 1: There’s nothing I love more at this moment than a jumpsuit and this one from Express is the perfect one-stop-shop ensemble for the Phoenix Open. Not only will your shoulders be exposed to the beautiful sunlight during the day, it’s versatile enough that you can wear it long after The Open has left the state. For work, pair it with a white boyfriend blazer and pair of closed-toe pumps; for a daytime look, add a pair of strappy flat sandals and go bare on top; and for date night, add a statement embellished necklace with a pair of patent peep-toe heels and you’re out the door!

Outfit 2: Track pants are having a moment and this pair from Express fall right in line. Not only are these slacks on trend, they’re comfortable to boot. While perfectly paired with a sweet pink tee as shown here by Express, you can also pair them with a cropped black sweater for chillier temps – just don’t forget to add a pair of pointy-toed black stilettos to keep it sexy. For the warmer days, these lightweight pants are perfect when paired with a loose, white racer-back tank and black gladiator sandals.

Outfit 3: The short of it all: shorts are versatile the whole year through. Here, this look from Express pairs a great staple with a strappy orange tank – perfect if temps heat up the weekend of The Open. The best thing about shorts is that they can pose as a skirt in your wardrobe. When temps are cool, put black opaque tights underneath them and throw on a black blazer and heels – suddenly, these shorts are completely work-appropriate. Make dressy shorts perfect for day by adding a white v-neck boyfriend tee and pair of Converse sneakers.
