What to Wear to Spring Training

Spring is in the air, and that means that spring training games are back in town! Fashion guru and Marketing Director for Scottsdale Quarter, Alison Goodman, shares some fabulous options on what to wear out to the ball fields!

There’s nothing more cute and casual than a pair of old school denim shorts – here at Industrie Denim, I’ve paired this classic wardrobe staple with a long-sleeved striped shirt. A cross-body black leather bag makes this look effortlessly hands-free and a fedora is the perfect topper to keep your eyes shaded.

Springtime means lighter colors and when you dress in all white, you’re ready for the warmth. A loose-fitting white top with subtle stripes goes perfectly atop a pair of white skinny ankle-length jeans. You can pair the look with suede ankle boots as GAP does here or a pair of metallic gladiator sandals – my personal preference.

EXPRESS shows you how to capitalize on the crop top trend in the subtlest of ways: a cropped chambray shirt combines two trends in one as denim-on-denim is still going strong through the spring season. Rolling the sleeves of the shirt adds an extra casual element and a pair of white denim shortie short cut-offs means flirty and fun.

Planning to head out on the town after your spring training game? EXPRESS has the answer: black denim cut-off shorts go perfectly from day-to-night. Another one of the hottest trends of the season is sheer fabric: sheer can seem risqué for day, but with the tiny floral print, it’s sweet as can be. Still feeling unsure of sheer? A fitted black tank underneath takes all your worries away.

The maxi dress has been a summertime staple for a few seasons now and this upcoming spring is no exception. Flowy white means you’ll stay cool despite the excess fabric and delicate spaghetti straps means maximum flattery for your shoulders. Apricot Lane pairs its maxi with a turban-esque headband and I couldn’t agree more.
