The luxury wing at Scottsdale Fashion Square will undergo a multi-million-dollar renovation, which will transform the interior and exterior of the mall from Palm Court to Dillard’s.
This renovation is going to take the luxury shopping experience at Scottsdale Fashion Square to the next level, with high-end finishes, valet parking, new stores and restaurants and more as part of the plans.
The North Entrance across from Neiman Marcus will transform into a two-story, luxury entrance for the shopping center, making it highly visible from the busy boulevard. It will be flanked by luxury flagship stores and will be surrounded by a grand promenade with lush landscaping.
The first phase will begin in the third quarter of 2017 with demolition of the tile floors and drywall, and will start closest to Palm Court and move west. Work will occur between 10 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. to minimize inconvenience for shoppers and retailers, but people will notice temporary floor covering. The floor demolition will occur in tenting to avoid dust traveling throughout the center. Next, the construction for the new resort-style restrooms will begin, as well as the new escalator and elevator just outside of the Dillard’s entrance.
In the first quarter of 2018, the new tile floors will be laid and ceiling treatments will be installed. Signage regarding any closures or detours in the area will be clearly visible to help shoppers easily navigate the construction.
By the third and fourth quarter of 2018, new retailers and restaurants will open and the finishing touches will be put into place.
Additional phases of the shopping center’s renovation are in the planning stages, with the goal of adding mixed-use elements including high-end residential units, Class A office space, and a hotel.
