Colette Skin Studio Opens in Scottsdale

Located in Scottsdale, the newly opened Colette Skin Studio specializes in natural, pure products and holistic treatments from seasoned esthetician and Valley native, Kim Carson.

After spending a number of years working as an esthetician in Los Angeles—building up not only an incredible client list, but a particularly impressive expertise in all things related to natural and holistic skin care products—Carson was inspired to move back to the Valley with her family, and to start a new skin studio that would cater to the unique skin needs of Arizona residents.

“My whole family lives here—my brother has three kids here, my sister has three kids here, my mom’s here. So, we’ve been out quite often and we just decided to sell our house in LA and make the move over this way,” says Carson.

And thus Colette Skin Studio—named after her 10-year-old daughter—was born, with a focus on offering products and treatments from the Biologique Recherche brand, in particular.

Biologique Recherche is a holistic skincare line out of Paris that was founded in the late 1970s by a family of artisanal skincare experts. The brand offers a customized methodology of cosmetic treatments adapted to every skin type and based on products with a high concentration of active ingredients.

“I believe that beauty is wellness, and everything comes from the inside out. I’ve always been holistic. I don’t love super harsh treatments, and I don’t do Botox or the fillers. So, I do feel like I am going against the grain a little bit here in Scottsdale,” says Carson. “On the other hand, I feel like women are ready to have a more gentle approach to skincare—and this Biologique Recherche product line really is highly effective, without being invasive.”

Biologique Recherche started as a research and development lab, focusing exclusively on formulating products for beauty professionals who were disappointed by the products available at that time. Now, it’s one of the most effective brands in the world. And after completing training from the Biologique Recherche Academie, Carson is now one of only two estheticians locally certified to carry the product line.

“Biologique Recherche products target all of the stuff that we need to address in Arizona—like hydration or skin dehydration, spots and the fine lines that are brought on by the sun. And their treatments are all about moisture, using items like milk cleansers, cold water and very delicate serums to truly take care of the skin.”

Carson hopes to transform the skin of Arizona residents—which is often more sensitive and dry, as a result of the desert climate—by helping them to achieve balanced-dewy skin with her highly effective yet holistic approach.

Colette Skin Studio in Scottsdale is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on treatments and to book your visit, visit www.coletteskinstudio.com.
