Beauty and Propaganda, a new lifestyle salon, is making its debut in late January in the Grove on Hayden shopping center in Scottsdale. The one-stop shop offers its guests the ultimate “me-time” pampering experience with services like manicures, pedicures, blow-outs, tanning and eyelash extensions.
Zuleika Zaragoza, who co-founded Beauty and Propaganda with sister Karla Zaragoza, curated the beauty concept based on the sisters’ belief that everyone should celebrate their uniqueness.
“Our uniqueness is what makes us all beautiful, and we want to make each guest feel like they’re part of a community where we celebrate differences, not flaws,” Zuleika says.
On opening day in January, guests can expect to experience Beauty and Propaganda’s eclectic décor and attention to detail to make every guest have a memorable time.
“We will be debuting our ‘New Way to Beauty,’” says the duo. “Customers will get to experience a mani while they get a blowout, a pedi while they get a blowout, or lash extensions while they get a pedi! A lot of hard work has gone behind this concept. and we are ready to show the U.S. an experience like never before. We want our guests to feel as excited as we are!” In addition, individual services include blow-outs, nails, makeup, lashes and spray tanning.
Aside from its multitude of services, Beauty and Propaganda will also host classes, including make-up tutorials for women of all ages. The sisters design each class with an end goal of teaching participants how to highlight, embrace and celebrate their flaws.
“Beauty and Propaganda is about self-love on a regular basis,” says Zuleika, “which may be different for everyone but that doesn’t mean you have to reserve it for a special occasion. Every single day we’re told what we’re supposed to look like, but true beauty is not a shape, size or color.”
