Zoppé: An Italian Family Circus Multimedia Drive-In Show Kicks Off This Weekend

As they say, the show must go on. And that is exactly why Zoppé: An Italian Family Circus is back in Arizona and introducing its Multimedia Drive-In Show starting Dec. 26 via nightly shows and daily matinees.

For 178 years and seven generations, the Zoppé Family has shared its Italian circus with the masses—even through the 1918 pandemic. So instead of calling it day on its beloved Arizona show, Zoppé: An Italian Family Circus presents its 2020-2021 season with a vehicular twist with a live Multimedia Drive-In Show from Dec. 26 to Jan. 10. The show then heads to Tucson Jan. 15 to Jan. 31.

Zoppé’s jaw-dropping new production takes place in Tempe in the Big Surf parking lot on an elevated traditional circus ring viewed from the safety of the audience’s own vehicles. The historic multi-media event intertwines an originally produced Zoppé film shown with a live circus show to create a full and engaging multi-media experience.

Event-goers can look forward to seeing the Human Cannonball, Tulga the Strong Man from “America’s Got Talent,” the Wheel of Death, aerial displays, equestrian vaulting, the swinging trapeze and more. The Big Top is suspended in air onto a large LED screen to allow for close-up viewing.

Gates will open one hour prior to the show and close 15 minutes after the show starts. The Zoppé circus family will be welcoming cars 30 minutes before every performance. Plus, there will be an Old Fashioned Circus Parade immediately before to the production.

Ticket-holders are asked to stay safe at their vehicles during each performance. Sound from the performances will be transmitted to their FM radio.

Tickets range from $49 to $199 per car load and can be booked at Zoppe.net
