With The Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships in Scottsdale taking place during the seasonal transition of summer to fall on Oct. 23, the cool, breezy weather allows free range to mix and match stylish summery vibes with chic-sophisticated elements.
Because dressing up with friends is part of The Polo Party experience, Joe Leeds of Luxe & City’s Fashion House tailored the following wardrobe selections to complement a group setting.
Focusing on comfort, Leeds took a minimal approach with the women’s fashion, via lightweight materials with a loose, structured fit. Leeds paired elegant jumpsuits and a sundress with wedges, an important Polo Party accessory to avoid sinking into the grass on the polo fields.
For daytime events, Gabi Viallta, of Glambi Cosmetics, recommends keeping makeup colors light and glowy. A fresh face, a pop of shimmer on the eye and a wispy lash with highlight on the cheeks complements the classic silhouettes.
Hair stylist Sandra Goodman solidified Leeds’ looks with wavy curls pulled off to the side or down. The looks are topped off with wide-brimmed neutral-colored hats for extra shade, as the accessory provides sun and wind protection in style during the open-air event.
Gabby’s first look features a navy blue jumpsuit from John Paul Ataker NY. Simple and sophisticated, the attached sheer waistband is fastened over the shoulder for a unique, elegant twist.
For Jake, Leeds added subtle color and texture to this look with Being Dapper’s light blue Gatsby seersucker jacket, black pants and loafers.
Samantha is wearing the St. Regis sundress from House Of Donaldson. Again, simple, lightweight and easy to wear, it’s elegant comfort. Anthony is seen in loafers, white linen slacks, a black button-up and a Straw and Wool hat.
Gabby’s look is pulled from Luxe & City’s in-house stylist collection: a long blue textured skirt and white top with sheer detail. This light and classy look is perfect for a day on the field. Jake is wearing a classic trouser, loafers, light white button-down and a blazer. Layers are an important wardrobe element while attending The Polo Party, as the day heats ups by the afternoon.
Samantha is in a dark brown jumpsuit with polka dots. Keeping the outfit simple, Leeds included the high-top deep-brimmed hat to add a fashionable flare and sun protection.
For Anthony’s signature look, Leeds paired the new safari jacket with hunter green shorts and loafers from Being Dapper, finishing with a dark brown hat from Straw and Wool. The safari jacket buttons up with a drawstring for a fitted look or opens for a cool, flowy vibe.
