A beloved spot for staying and playing in Sedona, Amara Resort and Spa has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation. Its refresh touches on all 100 guestrooms, its signature restaurant, SaltRock Southwest Kitchen, and its award-winning Amara Spa.
Amara’s fresh look is inspired by the surrounding red rocks, which resulted in a “tree-lodge” aesthetic. Neutral tones, organic textures, wooden elements, new artwork and textiles and elevated bathrooms are incorporated in the renovated guestrooms.
The lobby, with its dramatic vaulted ceilings, are now home to two gorgeous chandeliers inspired by star constellations. A focal point of the lobby is an elongated bar that extends from the adjoining SaltRock Southwest Kitchen restaurant. It will serve as a communal space for mixing and mingling while grabbing a cocktail.
Inside SaltRock, Amara’s signature restaurant, the revamped dining space now showcases burnt orange velvet banquettes, Himalayan salt accent walls, a live-edge community dining table, antiqued mirrors, custom-made privacy screens with the colors of Sedona and a more open bar area.
Not to be outdone, Amara Spa also boasts an upgraded look with fresh finishes and features, like the new 24-hour fitness center and retail outpost.
