Canal Convergence

There is still one more weekend left to enjoy Canal Convergence, an annual series of free educational activities and interactive events at the Scottsdale Waterfront. The public art event will take place Nov. 12 and Nov. 13, from 6 to 10 p.m., and Nov. 14, closing night, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Local art lovers are invited to Canal Convergence to enjoy the likes of AeroGels, a visual narrative guide of the experiences of an artist on Mars in the year 2268 from Roy Wasson Valle; Paul Magnuson’s The DOOR(S), one-of-a-kind, prototype gateways to alternate realities; Floom (pictured at top), which comprises fiery water lilies on Arizona Canal between Marshall Way Bridge and Goldwater Boulevard that light up the night with choreographed performances; and many other works of awe-inspiring public art.
