5 Design-Your-Own Hat Bars

Western-inspired fashion, also known as cowboy chic, has officially entered the mainstream fashion chat, at least according to recent runways, social media and Beyoncé. Given that, plus Scottsdale being the bachelorette party headquarters of the West, it makes perfect sense why design-your-own hat bars are popping up like desert wildflowers. Here are five hat bars in Scottsdale and throughout the Valley.

Turquoise Candy Hat Bar

Situated in Old Town Scottsdale, this colorful shop is popular with bachelorette parties and large groups. Customers here work with a hat stylist, preparing their hat style, color and accessories, which include playing cards, vintage matchboxes, rhinestones and bullet shells. The stylists are trained to “freestyle” any personal branding or art into each hat. This hat bar in Scottsdale, owned by two sisters, also boasts a customizable charm bar with personalized bracelets and necklaces.
Cost: Trucker hats are $20-plus; cowboy and flat-brim hats are $85-plus; and charm bar is $39-plus.
