A Guide to the 2022 Arizona State Fair

Arizona State Fair is back at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix for an exciting month of thrilling rides, can’t-miss performances and all the fried food your heart desires (or can take). The annual event will kick off Friday, Sept. 23, and run until Sunday, Oct. 30, with tickets now available.Ā

After finding great success at last yearā€™s fair, the 2022 Arizona State Fair is anticipated to be the biggest yet, with over 1.5 million people expected to visit. With so much well-deserved hype surrounding this yearā€™s event, it should come as no surprise that the fair will feature some massive entertainment, including headlining acts from Omnium Circus, insane monster truck shows, rodeos, bull-riding performances and some stellar tribute band concerts dedicated to legendary acts like Queen, No Doubt, The Beatles, Green Day and more.Ā

If you are looking for something a bit more thrilling than a live show, the fair will host more than 65 different rides to enjoy, including intense, blood-plumping rides for adrenaline enthusiasts to more kid-friendly and relaxing experiences. For those wanting to look fear in the face, staple rides are back like the Skyride, with its sky-high climb and free fall drop, and the Cliff Hanger, where riders fly through the air on their stomachs.

For more traditional riders, the staple Ferris wheel showcases the best birdā€™s-eye view of the fair, in addition to bumper cars, the carousel and moderate coasters. For the first time in years, the Arizona State Fair is bringing back unlimited ride wristbands for $50 (purchased on-site only).Ā

In addition to enjoying all the fried food your heart can take, fun sips will also be available, including over-the-top milkshakes, Hot Cheeto soda, boba and more eccentric drinks you really won’t be able to find anywhere else.
