Ambiente, a Landscape Hotel Announces Updated Opening Date and Restaurant News

[Update: Ambiente, A Landscape Hotel is ready to make its debut as North America’s first landscape hotel when it opens Dec. 26 in Sedona. The adults-only hotel is now accepting online reservations for stays beginning Feb. 10, 2023 with room rates starting from $1,800 per night.]

One of Arizona’s most exciting hotel openings, Ambiente, a Landscape Hotel in Sedona has updated its opening date to May 2022 and announced plans for its full-service restaurants, Forty1.

Due to challenges from the ongoing pandemic and supply-chain crisis, Sedona’s Ambiente, a Landscape Hotel was unable to meet its original opening date in Fall 2021 and now expects to open its doors this coming May. Along with its 40 576-sq.-ft. Atriums and the dramatic 360-degree panoramic views, guests can also expect a full-service restaurant, with a focus on locally grown and sourced ingredients and a craft cocktail program, at Forty1.

Forty1 will be led by Executive Chef Lindsey Dale and mixologist Rob Floyd. The restaurant, which will be open to resort guests only, will be situated at the center of the three-acre Sedona property within the poolside lounge and neighboring the open-air bar. Forty1 will serve breakfast and dinner daily. For lunch, guests can head to the The Drifter, an eatery housed within a custom Airstream serving casual lunch and poolside fare daily, including a fried green tomato sandwich, a Cubano, a chicken salad wrap and more.

Forty1 menu highlights will include crispy pork belly with sweet corn puree, pickled ramps, slaw, chorizo crumble and chili-orange glaze; seared prawn with smoked tomato coulis, spaghetti squash, fried basil and lemon pasilla chili oil; and rack of lamb with date and caramelized shallot puree, heirloom baby carrot and pistachio-mint chimichurri. A sampling of Floyd’s cocktails include Sedona-inspired sips like Sedona Truffle “Air” with muddled cucumbers and cilantro, aged tequila, lime, agave, chareau and a pinch of black truffle salt; Sedona Cloud with gin, lime juice, agave, crème de violette, bitters, cucumber and fresh basil; and Sedona Mule with house-infused lavender-vanilla vodka, lime juice, agave, fresh ginger, fresh lavender, old-fashioned bitters and ginger beer.

Plus, as a treat between meals, guests can expect an outfitted beverage and snack ETrikeCo electric vehicle to make its way through the property offering a range of goodies, like coffee, pastries and juices.
