The “Grandest” of Spring Breaks at the Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon Conservancy’s Field Institute offers a 3.5-hour Village tour and Rim walk that allows a group of up to seven people (there is a seven-to-one guide ratio) the opportunity to take in the views from along the Rim and pictographs at the top of Bright Angel Trail, ancient rocks and fossils. Group members can also learn about the diverse ecosystems, and discuss indigenous connections and cultures that have called Grand Canyon home over the millennia. The hikes are flexible to accommodate preferences of the group but do require a three-day advance notice for booking. Though the tours are bookable year-round–even through the snow–spring is the perfect time to take in the Canyon.
