Bobby-Q’s Biltmore Brunch

From a coffee cocktail accompanied with donuts to dishes like cauliflower mashed with eggs and lemon ricotta pancakes, the new brunch at Bobby-Q’s Biltmore location will break you out of your brunch rut.

Bobby-Q has been serving some of the Valley’s best BBQ and steaks for almost fifteen years. As they’ve grown to three locations, they have accumulated multiple “best of” awards from various publications. Recently, they’ve started serving brunch at the newest of their three locations, located at 32nd Street and Camelback.

French Press coffee is a must-have when offered, and is usually a good indication of the effort that will go into the rest of the brunch. Fresh-squeezed orange and grapefruit juices are also available. Discriminating bubbly drinkers will appreciate the availability of higher-grade sparkling wines from France, Italy, and Washington, USA, ranging from $30 to $90 per bottle. Along with your bottle purchase, the bottle service is completed by accompanying juices.

A unique mix of handcrafted “Day Drinking Cocktails” are available. The aforementioned Donuts & Coffee is an enhanced Irish Coffee – Tullamore Dew whiskey, Irish cream, cinnamon syrup, and cream make this a sweet cocktail that will start or end your brunch on a high note. The two mini-donuts served with the cocktail were a pleasant surprise. The Bobby’s Bloody Mary is served with green chile vodka and BBQ sauce in case you forgot exactly where you were.

The breakfast options for brunch are plentiful and wide-ranging. The “Light and Easy” section includes popular dishes like avocado toast and an acai bowl. Bobby-Q also discovers its Southern roots with porridge. The salmon toast is served on sourdough bread with smashed avocado. The egg dishes include a traditional huevos rancheros, a breakfast burrito, and two different benedict options. The “Hearty” section is only two dishes, but they are enough to warrant the separate distinction. With corn tortilla chips piled high underneath two eggs, the chilaquiles is visually impressive. The generous helpings of cheese, crema, red chili sauce, and a touch of avocado relish make for a sophisticated, shareable entree. Bobby-Q’s savory take on short rib hash includes a perfectly poached egg, roasted peppers and potatoes, onions and charred tomatoes. Finally, the lemon ricotta pancakes with berries and whipped cream will keep the carb lover in you happy.

Lunch items available during brunch include a selection of salads and menu favorites like the pulled pork sandwich, beef brisket sandwich, the “Perfect” burger, and a housemade veggie burger.

In an area with dozens of monotonous weekend brunch options, Bobby-Q delivers one that, from start to finish, provides a bit of a break from the norm. Brunch is served at the Biltmore location on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information and to see the full menu, visit bobbyqbbq.com.
