The luxurious Montelucia Resort and Spa in Scottsdale recently unveiled its newest venue, CENTRO Lounge, which includes a nine-panel media wall, indoor/outdoor seating, fire pits and an impressive Southwest-inspired menu by Executive Chef Michael Cairns.
Fab AZ had the opportunity to check out this new hot spot, which functions as the center of campus gathering spot for Montelucia’s sophisticated and high-energy crowd.
The feel of CENTRO is very different from the rest of the resort. Montelucia is known for it’s Moroccan-themed style, but CENTRO has a bit more casual and hip vibe. When you first walk in you can’t help but notice the nine-panel media wall, making this a great spot to catch a game.
CENTRO Lounge’s innovative menu, created by Executive Chef Michael Cairns, offers a selection of shareable plates, sides and flatbreads with a Southwestern influence. Everything looked amazing, but we sampled some a handful of items that included:
Chips and Salsa Tasting with Guacamole
Pretzel Breadsticks
Trio of Fries (Sweet Potato Tater Tots, Truffle Parmesan and Salt & Pepper)
Green Chile Pork
Blackened Fish Tacos
Everything tasted amazing, and every dish had a little spicy kick – nothing a tasty beverage can’t fix. CENTRO Lounge’s cocktail menu offers specialty drinks, wine by the glass and microbrews. CENTRO is planning to expand their beers on tap to include a variety of local brews.
CENTRO Lounge is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and available after-hours for private parties. For more information, visit montelucia.com or call 480.627.3200.

Last week, my husband and I stayed at the Montelucia and I loved the guacamole at the CENTRO Lounge. Do you share your recipe? I ate there twice, getting the guac both times. I also loved the guac/spinach/? wrap. Just not sure what the sauce was. Do you share that recipe as well? I live in Oklahoma, but we will be back….especially for the guacamole.
