Clear Sky Resorts – Grand Canyon

Sometimes, a vacation calls for a luxury resort brimming will bells and whistles. Other times, a getaway that allows one to commune with nature, their loved ones and Northern Arizona’s starry sky is even better. Clear Sky Resorts – Grand Canyon in Williams offers a glamping experience unlike any getaway you’ve seen before.

Even those who don’t consider themselves to be particularly fond of camping can get on board with glamping at Clear Sky Resorts – Grand Canyon. We’re not talking sleeping bags and roasting hot dogs; the destination, located only 20 minutes from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, is dotted with a few dozen luxurious private domes featuring all the comforts of home, creating a unique respite for traveling families, couples or even a solo adventurer. The domes feature comfy beds, well-equipped bathrooms with beautiful showers, plenty of seating and a panoramic window for taking in your stunning surroundings. Each dome even features a telescope to enjoy a little stargazing via the window or sunroof. If traveling with kids (or kids at heart), they will adore the themed domes, including Hello Kitty, British Secret Agent and 80’s Video Game.

Though one could easily spend an entire day reading a good book on the hammock of their dome’s patio, there is plenty of fun to be had around the property. A giant bounce pillow, volleyball court, playground and tricycle track will tempt the younger visitors while all guests can enjoy the game lawns with cornhole and giant Connect Four, frisbee golf and, on select nights, live music and storytelling. In the evenings, guests are invited to gather around the roaring firepit and dig into complimentary smores–and make a few new friends while at it.

Though guests are on their own for lunch, there is a food truck on property for breakfast (think breakfast burritos and sandwiches, bagels, pancakes and more) and dinner (the menu includes crowd-pleasers like pizza, pasta and burgers). And pop by the lobby for happy hour, and grab a beer or canned cocktail–which will make a game of cornhole even more exciting.

If choosing to explore the area, Clear Sky Resorts – Grand Canyon is only 30 miles from Downtown Williams, where you’ll find excellent dining and endless small-town charm. Williams also hosts family-friendly attractions like Bearizona Wildlife Park, Grand Canyon Railway and Canyon Coaster Adventure Park, home of Arizona’s first alpine coaster,

Clear Sky Resorts – Grand Canyon will close for the season on Dec. 4 and reopen May 2023. For more information, visit grandcanyon.clearskyresorts.com.
