Chandler-based nail care company, Dazzle Dry, has teamed up this Earth Day with the GSN Foundation to kick off the “Promise To The Planet” social media campaign. In an effort to draw attention to climate change, the campaign asks followers to paint their nails green and blue, snapping and sharing across social media with the hashtag #promisetotheplanet.
“We’re honored to partner with GSN Foundation on this social media campaign for Earth Day,” says Dr. Vivian Valenty, founder of Dazzle Dry, in a press release. “I know we share a collective core mission for wanting to create sustainable and impactful practices for both the well-being of the industry and consumers that will allow us to continue to have fun and enjoy our beautiful planet together.”
In addition to sharing their painted nails, #promisetotheplanet participants are asked to also note what their promise to the planet with be, with suggestions including composting, eating less meat, carrying reusable bags, shopping secondhand and much more.
Also, on Earth Day (April 22), for every order–which includes a lacquer from the Earth Day Collection released that day, as well as select blues and greens–Dazzle Dry will plant two trees with WeForest. To date, Dazzle Dry has planted about 150,000 trees with WeForest in India and, most recently, in Zambia.
