Epicenter at Agritopia Hosts Monthly Pop-Up Playdates

Epicenter at Agritopia in Gilbert has partnered with East Valley Moms to launch a new series of free, family-friendly pop-up playdates. Designed for East Valley parents, these events offer an opportunity for parents and kids to enjoy no-cost outings continuing through February 2025.

Each playdate will have a new theme, offering a variety of activities that are tailored for kids and their parents. From stroller walks to interactive games to crafts and character appearances, these events at Epicenter at Agritopia are designed to entertain, engage, and create family memories.

“The inspiration for the Pop-Up Playdates stemmed from Epicenter’s vision of being more than just a mixed-use development — we aim to be a true community hub. We partnered with East Valley Moms to create an opportunity for moms and their young children to take a meaningful midweek break to connect, play, and recharge,” says William Johnston, CEO of Johnston & Co. “Moms are often the cornerstone of family life. We wanted to create a space where they can feel supported and celebrated. The unique themes, engaging activities, and family-friendly atmosphere are all designed to ensure that every visit offers something new and memorable while showcasing Epicenter as a place where families can truly feel at home.”

On Dec. 11, the holiday season comes alive during the Very Merry Playdate, featuring a festive stroller walk, bubble playtime, holiday-themed character visits, and seasonal storytime. Start the new year with a Snow Much Fun Playdate on Jan. 8. Families can enjoy a winter-themed stroller walk, character appearances, and a cozy winter storytime that transforms the Epicenter into a winter wonderland. The final scheduled playdate is on Feb. 12. Celebrate love and friendship during the Local Love Valentine’s Playdate. Activities include a handprint Valentine craft, a stroller walk around the Epicenter shops, character visits, and a story time focused on love and connection.

“Building a community of mothers in Gilbert is essential because motherhood can often feel both joyous and isolating. Epicenter aims to bridge that gap by fostering an environment where moms can come together, share experiences, and build lasting friendships,” says Johnston. “By offering Pop-Up Playdates, we’re not only giving moms and their kids a fun and enriching experience but also supporting their well-being and providing a platform to create a vibrant, supportive network. Epicenter is proud to be part of their journey in making those connections within the community.”
