Fall Events at Taliesin West

Taliesin West, the home and studio of Frank Lloyd Wright, welcomes the new season with a variety of exciting youth and family programs as well as cultural and wellness experiences. Whether drinks at sunset or inspiring your inner architect are your vibe, join the more than 100,000 annual visitors by stopping by the UNESCO World Heritage Site this fall.

Cultural Programs

Book Club | First Wednesday of the Month from September to May | 6 to 7 p.m. | $12 per ticket

Buy or borrow a copy of the monthly selection and join Taliesin West guest and staff moderators for a lively conversation in some of Taliesin West’s favorite and rarely-seen interior spaces.

Wellness Programs | September to May | First Saturday of every month from 10 to 11 a.m. | Third Tuesday of every month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. | $25 per ticket

Let the gardens and pathways inspire awe, relaxation and mindfulness through guided activities like yoga, tai chi and meditation. (Some classes are outdoors while others will take place inside.)

Sunsets and Sips Happy Hour | Second and Fourth Thursdays from October to May | 6 to 8 p.m. October, April and May | 5 to 7 p.m., November to March | $35 per ticket

With views of the city beyond, friends can linger and mingle with a drink in hand while listening to live music on the Prow and viewing some of the most popular and favorite interior spaces designed by Wright, with featured rooms varying weekly.

Discovery Days | Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 | 11 to 3 p.m. | Free

Visitors will enjoy special demonstrations, performances, tour highlights, food trucks and more as they discover Scottsdale’s only National Historic Landmark.

In Conversation | Nov. 11 | 7 to 8 p.m. | $30 per ticket

Explore the connections between architecture, art and nature in this informal and interactive series featuring a variety of fascinating hosts whose careers, hobbies and interests promise to make for great conversations. The first program host kicking off the series will be Phoenix-based photographer Andrew Pielage, whose exhibition, Sacred Spaces, will be on view at Taliesin West.

Family Programs

Guided Family Tours | Nov. 19 | 9 and 10:30 a.m. | $30 per adult, $15 per child (5 and under are free)

Taliesin West tailors its one-hour Guided Family Tours specifically for the littlest visitors and their families. Tour-goers will discover spaces that visitors of all ages can enjoy. This tour is ideal for families with children between the ages of 5 to 12, though younger children are also welcome.

Family Workshops | Oct. 8 | 9 a.m. to noon | $25 per participant

The Family Workshops at Taliesin West are an adventure for the whole family where kids and their grown-ups work together to create a make-and-take art project in a small-group setting. These workshops are intended for children between the ages of 9 to 14 and their families. Adult participation is encouraged, and one adult per family or group is required to register and attend.

In addition to the special fall programming and events, visitors can explore through guided and audio tours. Taliesin West is currently open Thursday through Monday from 9 a.m. to noon for tours. Advance purchase of tour tickets is recommended. To learn more, visit FrankLloydWright.org.
