Hold onto those hats and tighten those boots–a new rodeo is in town. Buck-N-Rodeo Grounds at Rawhide Western Town and Event Center in Chandler just launched its 8 Second Saturday Rodeo series, running monthly through May.
Held the second Saturday of each month, the just-introduced, high-energy event features a full lineup of rodeo action and family entertainment.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with rodeo events beginning at 6 p.m. and live country music performances from 8 to 9 p.m. Each month showcases a local band, including Bobby Joe Bell (Dec. 14), Josh Roy Band (Jan. 11), Lacey Rashea & the Young Guns (Feb. 8), and Chauncey Jones (March 8).
The 8 Second Saturday Rodeo Series at Rawhide features bull, steer and calf riding, mutton busting, calf scrambles, stick horse racing, rodeo clowns, and giveaways.
The fun extends beyond the arena with activities for all ages, including kids’ inflatables, a mechanical bull, roping skills games, yard games, and market vendors. Guests can purchase a variety of food, dessert, and drinks.
Tickets are $12 for general admission adults; $10 for military members, Gila River Indian Community residents, and first responders; and $5 for children. 8 Second Saturday Rodeo Series runs until May 10.
