Oct. 14: Pic or Treat at Scottsdale Promenade
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, families can stop by Scottsdale Promenade for Pic or Treat, a Halloween event benefiting Impact One Breast Cancer Foundation. Get into the spooky szn with pumpkin-decorating, candy, photos with the characters of “Hocus Pocus” and much more just outside of outside of Nordstrom Rack. Oct. 15: Creepy Candy Crawl at Desert Ridge Marketplace

Tempe’s Drink Me! Tea Room hosts a Hocus Pocus-themed afternoon tea service with reservations available from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Oct. 19 to Oct. 30. Scottsdale’s Holland Community Center hosts its popular Glass Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser during the weekend of Oct. 21. This festive event will showcase over 1,000 whimsical glass pumpkins handmade by Gregory Tomb, an acclaimed local glass artist. These one-of-a-kind works of art will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting Holland Community Center’s efforts as a nonprofit committed to enhancing arts, education and community in the Desert Foothills region. Oct. 28 and Oct. 29: Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival
Get into the spirit just before the big day at the 10th anniversary of Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival, one of Arizona’s favorite family-friendly Halloween events. Locals can check out 20-plus glowing hot air balloons, which act as trick-or-treat stations passing out candy to the kids. The littlest guests will enjoy the Kids’ Zone with over 20 inflatables, and those who dare can stroll the Spook Trail presented by Saguaro High School Choir. Event-goers can take part in costume contests, a vendor marketplace, eats and drinks from on-site vendors and more. General admission tickets are $22 for adults; $17 for kids 3 to 12 years old.
