Frida Kahlo, An Immersive Biography, Opens in Phoenix

After making its debut in the United States, Frida Kahlo, An Immersive Biography, is officially open to the public in Phoenix and allowing its visitors the opportunity to dive into the life of the world-renowned artist and feministic icon.

Created in collaboration with the Frida Kahlo Corporation and Layers of Reality, a digital art center in Spain, Frida Kahlo, An Immersive Biography, takes guests on a journey of Kahlo’s life by utilizing seven interactive spaces. Each installment provides visitors an in-depth look into who Kahlo was as a person and less on the art she created.

To help tell her story, the limited-time exhibit, at Walter Where?House in Phoenix, utilizes historical photographs, original films, digital environments, collector’s items, interactive art installments and a stunning virtual reality experience to help visitors encompass Kahlo in a way unlike any exhibit has before.

Phoenix is the exhibit’s first stop on its American tour and will then venture to Latin America. Tickets are $34 for adults, with discounts for students and children, and are currently available for purchase for visits through August 7. Frida Kahlo, An Immersive Biography, is open Wednesday through Sunday, with tours lasting around 90 minutes.
