Hottest Holiday Nail Trends

The hottest holiday nail trends for 2011 are here, and Valerie Griggs, founder of 20 Lounge Boutique Nail Bar in Scottsdale, is sharing the three top looks with Fabulous Arizona.

Apple Red Shellac with Red Glitter 2

1. Glitterati Sparkle: Candy Apple Red Shellac gel nail polish with red glitter fading from the base of the nail up to the top. This look will not only stay on your fingers (or toes) for at least two weeks without chipping, but it also looks stunning every time you move your hands.

2. Chimney Sweep Metallic Do-It-Yourself: For the perfect holiday at-home manicure, pick up a bottle of ButterLONDON’s popular polish in “Chimney Sweep” – a color that is smudgy and sexy in a charcoal grey with a touch of metallic finish.

Minx-Snowflakes-on-Blue-Lig

3. Minx Snowflake Madness: Extend holiday fashion to your fingertips with Minx, a flexible coating (like a sticker) that is heated and applied to nails. It’s mess-free and a green alternative to nail polish. We recommend Minx Silver Snowflake design.

  1. I love the red glitter shellac nails! What brand and color name is the red glitter polish? I would love to know!

Hi Rachel, The glitter look we highlighted last year was CND Shellac in ‘wildfire’ and loose red glitter pressed in – this particular look can only be done at a CND certified salon, however by using a red polish and loose glitter, the same look can be achieved, but won’t last the 2.5 weeks that shellac promises.
