Labor Day Weekend may not signal the end of summer for us Phoenicians, but it is another fabulous weekend to celebrate our sunny weather. Here are some places to celebrate summer this Labor Day Weekend.
W Scottsdale
W Scottsdale will host a series of parties that will take place on W Scottsdale’s WET Pool Deck as part of the hotel’s Labor Day Weekend festivities, Saturday, September 1 through Monday, September 3. Doors open at noon each day. DJs David Anthony and DJ Javin will provide the soundtrack to the weekend’s pool parties, accompanied by additional W Scottsdale resident DJs. The hotel will also be hosting Pong Tournaments on Saturday September 1, and Sunday, September 2. Winners of each tournament will be announced hourly and prizes will be awarded. There will be a cover fee for non-hotel guests for the pool parties on Saturday and Sunday. In the evenings, guests can enjoy live music in W Scottsdale’s Living Room. For the upcoming celebration of Labor Day weekend, Saturday, September 1, through Monday, September 3, FOUND:RE Phoenix is launching its three-day yacht-themed “Overboard Pool Party.” From 11:30am to 5:30pm on Saturday and Sunday, a DJ will keep things pumping at the pool, guests can enjoy the specialty Yacht Club vodka cocktail for just $8, and an authentic clambake will be offered on the brunch menu. Weekend brunch will also be extended through Monday, with the clambake available all three days. These festivities are open to the public with no cover charge. Hotel Valley Ho
The iconic Hotel Valley Ho in Old Town Scottsdale is celebrating Labor Day weekend with live music, DJs and incredible “Show Stopper” Shakes to help you keep cool. Start off the weekend early with Vinyl Thursdays 6-9pm and bring your favorite records for the DJ to spin. Talented artists will be performing in the lounge on Friday and Saturday 8-11pm. Grab a cocktail and relax poolside on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with DJs spinning from 1:30pm to 5:30pm. Hotel Palomar Phoenix
Perched on the third-floor deck of Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix, LUSTRE is celebrating the long weekend with four days of pool parties featuring an outdoor barbecue, live music and specials. The party starts Friday, August 31 through Monday, September 3. The pool opens at 11am and is open to the public with no cover charge. LUSTRE will offer a special Labor Day menu and rooftop barbecue Saturday through Monday and a guest DJ will be spinning from 1 to 5pm daily, plus 8pm to 12am on Saturday and Sunday. Maya Day & Nightclub
At Maya Day & Nightclub in Old Town Scottsdale, Dutch dance and electro house producer Bingo Players, brings his upbeat and international energy on Friday, August 31. Bingo Players is best known for his hits “Cry (just a little)” and “Rattle.” Doors open at 10 PM. Then on Sunday, September 2, American DJ duo Tritonal takes the stage. The Duo has is internationally recognized and has won awards such as DJ Mag’s top 100 and MTV’s “10 Artists to Watch” list. Doors open at noon. Lastly Maya celebrates Labor Day with DJ trio Cash Cash hosted by Nelly. The DJ trio is best known for their hit singles Take Me Home and Finest Hour as well as their collaboration with Nelly titled Millionaire.
