Mattel Adventure Park, the newest amusement park inspired by iconic childhood toys like Hot Wheels and Barbie, is coming to Glendale with epic coasters, rides and virtual fun. The park is the first of its kind for the toy brand and is slated to open in 2023.
Fans of Hot Wheels, Thomas & Friends, Barbie and other staple Mattel toys will find plenty of fun and fanfare at Mattel Adventure Park, the first-ever Mattel branded theme park opening in Glendale 2023. The unique park will feature fun for everyone in the family, including two Hot Wheels rollercoasters, Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer and Hot Wheels Boneshaker: The Ultimate Ride; a fully electric Thomas & Friends train ride; and five smaller, kid-friendly rides.
In addition to the rides, guests who visit the park will also find an assortment of virtual experiences, including 4D Hot Wheels Unleashed and a treasure hunt with Thomas the Train, which allows families to talk to Thomas and his friends before embarking on a journey on a real-life Thomas the Train.
The new entertainment destination was created in collaboration with Epic Resort Destinations, a developer of world-class branded attractions. Epic aided Mattel in developing the park and bringing its unique vision to life with the help of some other industry giants like Mad Systems, Daniels Woodland and Lightswitch.
