Mii amo to Reopen in February 2023

After closing its doors for two years, Sedona’s Mii amo, a destination spa, has announced its plans to reopen on Feb. 2 after completing a $40 million renovation.

The highly anticipated grand reopening of Mii amo, the luxury spa in Sedona at Enchantment Resort, is finally on the horizon and set for Feb. 2, 2023. The opening will mark the unveiling of the newly improved spa after it underwent a massive $40 million renovation.

“For two decades, Mii amo was a pioneer in the spa space,” says Tracy Tang, chairman of Enchantment Group, in a press release. “We decided to invest in a major renovation and expansion because we are committed to Mii amo and its continued standing as a trailblazer in the world of luxury wellbeing.”

Casita Patios

With reservations now open, guests can expect to enjoy upgraded Casita guest rooms when staying at the spa, in addition to three new Casita buildings. The new suites offer the ultimate pampering experience, with heated bathroom floors, private outdoor spaces, fireplaces and soaking tubs with views of Boyton Canyon.

When guests aren’t relaxing in their private casitas, they can visit The Crystal Grotto for daily meditation and reflection in the new circular space. The new design features an earthen floor, domed ceilings and a pedestal of petrified wood and an illuminated quartz crystal. Lit by an aperture overhead, The Crystal Grotto was designed so that once a year, on the summer solstice, a beam of sunlight strikes the crystal, connecting earth and sky.

Consultation Wing

A part of the new remodel comes a new spa facility that now includes 21 treatment rooms featuring 14 single massage rooms, three facial rooms, one sauna and two rooms with dry float tables. A new consultation wing was also added, with a dedicated space for relaxing before or after your session. In addition to upgrading its previous rooms, the spa will now offer “slow wellbeing” providing guests with longer treatment times, with 75- to 125-minute sessions available.

According to Mii amo Managing Director Stan Kantowski, in a press release, “Slow wellbeing is about having the time and space to reflect, reconnect, restore and re-engage with the facets in our lives that most serve and fulfill us. At Mii amo, we want to lean in to supporting this intention with each of our guests.”

A new signature dining destination, Hummingbird, is slated to join Mii amo, offering an eclectic culinary program focused on wellness. The candlelit space will feature plates with locally-sourced ingredients from the Chef’s garden as well as nearby farms, ranches and orchards. The spot will be a juice bar by day and a full bar with wine service and a dining menu in the evening.
