New Year’s Eve 2012 Dinner in Phoenix

The Mint

The Mint in Old Town Scottsdale is hosting a special New Year’s Eve Prix Fixe Menu starting at 4:00 p.m. The $35 five-course meal crafted by Chef Johnny Chu includes Orange Chicken Puffs, Asian Mint Shrimp, Black Dragon Fish and more. For reservations call 480.516.9149.


Sassi in North Scottsdale welcomes the 2012 year with a cocktail reception including small bites; a specialty 3-4 course Italian holiday menu; live music and dancing beginning at 8:30pm and a prosecco toast at midnight. Executive Chef, Christopher Nicosia delights guests’ palettes with menu items including Brushetta with Gorgonzola, Fresh pasta stuffed with truffle cheese, Osso Buco Sicilian Style and much more. Hotel Valley Ho

The historic Valley Ho is ringing in the New Year in retro style. Saturday, December 31, party goers can dine, dance, and toast at “Shake & Twist Like ‘56”. Enjoy a four-course dinner with Henriot Champagnes and Grey Goose vodka drink pairings. The 6:30 p.m. seating is $95 per person, and the 9:30 p.m. seating is $125 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Availability is limited and the seatings have sold out in the past; early reservations are recommended. After dinner, rock around the clock dancing in the ZuZu Lounge, with DJ P-Body playing today’s tunes and some from the ’50s. Then, toast the evening with champagne on the rooftop at midnight (those who dine at either seating will receive a ticket permitting rooftop admittance).

Sushi Roku

Master sushi Chef Shin Toyoda at Sushi Roku at the W Scottsdale will be serving a special Prix Fixe menu and his Omakase-style menu to celebrate the New Year. There will be three seatings in the main dining room: 5:00-7:00 p.m. (1/2 off all bottles of wine and sake), 7:00-9:00 p.m. and 9:30-11:30 p.m. For reservations, call 480.970.2121.


On New Year’s Eve, enjoy a prix fixe dinner for two at Zinburger at Biltmore Fashion Park. The dinner is $40 (excludes tax and gratuity), which includes two burgers or entrée salads, one side dish, a slice of pie, plus two drinks. Enjoy a three course, prix fixe dinner on New Year’s Eve at NoRTH at Kierland Commons. The dinner is $40 per person from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and $55 per person from 5:30 p.m. to close. Carefree Station

Carefree Station will ring in America’s New Year, celebrating with every time zone. Beginning at 10:00 p.m. and continuing on the hour, guests will enjoy complimentary champagne toasts and party favors to ring in the New Year as the East Coast (10 p.m.), Midwest (11 p.m.), Southwest (midnight) and West Coast (1 a.m.) celebrate the start of 2012. In addition to the regular menu, a variety of dinner specials will be offered, such as Jumbo Canadian Lobster Tail, Japanese Kobe 10 oz. Strip Loin and Supreme Oscar. The Buttes Resort

The Buttes Resort celebrates the coming of the New Year in style with a specialty five course tasting menu at the Top of the Rock, a champagne toast and dancing all night long. Chef de Cuisine, Akos Szabo will be serving Black Mountain Grass-Fed New York Strip, Shetland Scottish Salmon, Oven Roasted Organic Chicken and more. Then, guests will enjoy cocktails, dancing, and a countdown to 2012 at Tequila on the Rocks (adjacent to the restaurant) from 10:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. There will be a full bar, lively music and a build your own taco bar featuring ribeye, chicken and vegetable tacos with all the fixins.
