The Saguaro

Old Town Whiskey at The Saguaro in Old Town Scottsdale is throwing a Speakeasy New Year’s Party from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. DJ Melo will be spinning funk, soul and Motown tunes all night, and there will be a sparkling toast at midnight. Hotel Valley Ho

The historic Valley Ho is ringing in the New Year in retro style. Saturday, December 31, party goers can dine, dance, and toast at “Shake & Twist Like ‘56”. Rock around the clock dancing in the ZuZu Lounge, with DJ P-Body playing today’s tunes and some from the ’50s. Then, toast the evening with champagne on the rooftop at midnight.


Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2012 at the Montelucia Resort and Spa in Paradise Valley. Experience the essence of southern Europe in the heart of Scottsdale as you listen to the musical styling’s of DJ XXXclusive and dance the night away to your favorite songs of the past 3 decades performed by Radio Junket. The party begins at 8:00 p.m. and tickets are $55-$75 per person.

W Scottsdale

The theme for New Year’s Eve this year at W Scottsdale is Cirque Nouveau. The event will be a vibrant celebration featuring live musical performances, an electrifying firework display at midnight and much more. Tickets are $100 for males, $75 for females.

The Mint

The Mint’s New Year’s Eve “Vintage” 2012 Party will be a dazzling night of precious metal panache. Guests are encouraged to dress in silver and gold attire to match the evening’s elegant atmosphere. Those that attend can expect to take away gift bags filled with luxurious party favors. The party starts at 7:00 p.m.

The Casablanca Lounge

Ring in the New Year, under a sky of booming fireworks on The Casablanca Lounge’s 2,500 sq. ft. patio, overlooking the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Sandbar Chandler and Desert Ridge are hosting an 80’s themed New Year’s Eve Party. “Fast Times at Sandbar High” will take the evening back three decades to 1982 with classic drinks from the eighties that include Sex on the Beach, Tequila Sunrise, Midori Sour, Harvey Wallbanger, and the Slow Comfortable Screw. Guests can toast the New Year with complimentary Coronita cervezas at midnight. In a tribute to everyone’s favorite old school mode of transportation, there will be a BMX bike giveaway.

Carefree Station

Carefree Station will ring in America’s New Year, celebrating with every time zone. Beginning at 10 p.m. and continuing on the hour, guests will enjoy complimentary champagne toasts and party favors to ring in the New Year as the East Coast (10 p.m.), Midwest (11 p.m.), Southwest (midnight) and West Coast (1 a.m.) celebrate the start of 2012. The Buttes Resort

The Buttes Resort celebrates the coming of the New Year in style with a champagne toast and dancing all night long. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dancing, and a countdown to 2012 at Tequila on the Rocks from 10:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. There will be a full bar, lively music and a build your own taco bar featuring ribeye, chicken and vegetable tacos with all the fixins. Phoenix Zoo

Zoo Year’s Eve is the newest event at the Phoenix Zoo and it takes place during the Valley’s favorite holiday light festival – ZooLights. This adult’s only party is a unique alternative to ringing in the New Year and offers adult beverages, dancing, party favors and complimentary snacks surrounded by the lights and sounds of ZooLights. Enjoy a romantic late night walk around the lake after families and children leave at 10 p.m. or dance to the latest hits. Zoo Year’s Eve ticket holders can arrive any time after ZooLights opens at 6 p.m. or arrive at 9:30 p.m. and head straight to the party tent when the bar open. Zoo Year’s Eve will be a private area for ticket holders only and the only location for adult beverages beginning at 9:30 p.m.


Axis/Radius in Old Town Scottsdale is hosting a “Welcome to the Jungle” themed New Year’s Eve party in tribute to the 1987 Guns N’ Roses song. Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler will perform at the event. The party begins at 9:00 p.m. and the cost is $25 a person, $45 a couple.

Scottsdale’s Ultimate Block Party

Scottsdale’s Ultimate Block Party is an annual New Year’s Eve celebration that includes Upper Deck Sports Grill, Dos Gringos and the newly opened Rock Bar Inc. (formerly Acme Bar and Grill). Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers will headline the event. The party begins at 6:00 p.m. and the cost is $25-$35 per ticket.

Fiesta Bowl Block Party

Hosted by the City of Tempe, the Fiesta Bowl Block Party draws more than 100,000 partyers for their New Year’s Eve celebration. The Block Party annually features the best in both national and local entertainment. This year’s event will highlight a huge Electronic Dance Club, BMX Bike demos, magic shows, rock and roll displays, confetti blast and fireworks. The party takes place 5:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Mill Avenue.
