Mountain Shadows

Scottsdale

Originally designed by Arthur Jack Snyder in 1959, the award-winning Short Course at Mountain Shadows was re-envisioned by Forrest Richardson upon reopening in 2017. Each of the 18 par-3 holes features its own personality as the course specializes in doling out a good time, whether for the casual or confident golfer. The course can be played in less than three hours and offers jaw-dropping views of both Camelback and Mummy Mountains.

Standout hole: The Forrest Wager is a bonus hole before No. 18. It is typically used to settle bets or act as a tie-breaker. Tradition states that the player with the lowest score on The Forrest Wager picks up the tab on a round of drinks at Rusty’s, Mountain Shadows’ 19th hole.

NOTE: The Short Course will reopen after overseeding on Oct. 6.
