Restaurant of the Week: SaltRock Southwest Kitchen

SaltRock Southwest Kitchen, lead by Chef Lindsey Dale, is located at Amara Resort and Spa in Sedona. SaltRock showcases a menu of Southwestern-inspired cuisine featuring fresh, light and seasonal dishes using culinary traditions and ingredients of the Southwest and Verde Valley. 


One of the most obvious reasons to dine at SaltRock is the unobstructed, picturesque views of Cleopatra Rock and Snoopy Rock that can be enjoyed from SaltRock’s expansive patio. This restaurant is somehow incredibly versatile, making it a great spot for a casual drink or meal, or a romantic evening or special occasion. Dress up, dress down – you won’t feel out of place either way.

For appetizers, we recommend the Grilled Corn with garlic, spicy aioli, lime and cotija. Another favorite is the Carnitas Tacos, made with salsa verde, cotija cheese, lime, pickled onions, cilantro and radish. If you are not super hungry, this could also be a great entree. The Beets & Ricotta Salad is a great starter as well – delicious flavor combination.


Without question, our favorite entree on the SaltRock menu is the Crispy Skin Branzino. This dish packs so much flavor with with charred avocado, roasted heirloom tomato, Iberico chorizo, roasted fennel and citrus salad. Chef Lindsey really knew what she was doing when she combined these ingredients. Other entree options include Seared Salmon, Filet Mignon and Prime Ribeye to name a few.

If you can save room for dessert, the decadent dessert offerings include Blueberry & Lime VerrineTres LechesChocolate Brownie and Milk and Cookies.

For dinner, there is an option to do a 3 course prix-fixe menu for $55 which includes an appetizer, entree and dessert.


SaltRock also serves award-wining craft cocktails and a section of beer and wine and breakfast daily 7am to 10:30am.
