Salty Sow has become a local favorite since opening in early 2013. Their dinner menu is a wonderful cross-section of comfort and class and their Happy Hour is one of the area’s most popular. Salty Sow has recently expanded their hours to include lunch from Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. They have also brought back their Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Salty Sow has made the lunch menu a mix of some of their most popular items and added some new dishes as well. Guest favorites like the Duck Fat Fries and Truffled Deviled Eggs are present in the appetizer section. A promising newcomer that can be shared at the table is the “GCP” (Green Chile Pork) Nachos. For entrees, some of the items making their premiere are Chicken Enchiladas and the aptly-named Crispy Hot Chicken Sandwich. Dinner standouts like the Salty Sow French Dip and the Slow-Cooked Beef Shoulder are available as lunch entrees. The full bar and wine list is also at your disposal.
Brunch at Salty Sow is served buffet-style. Some of the items are created by putting a twist on Salty Sow favorites. The Green Chile Pork and warm tortillas that are a Salty Sow specialty are transformed into a breakfast dish with poached eggs. Honey Rosemary-dipped Fried Chicken finds a pairing with waffles and now you can have fried chicken in the morning without guilt. For guests with a sweet tooth, the Banana Chocolate Chip French Toast will hit the spot. There’s also a Pork Belly Hash that is considered a side but is hearty enough to be a meal. Various pastries and desserts make for a fitting final lap through the buffet line.
Just like during lunch, the full wine list and cocktails are available during brunch. Mimosas are only $4 and they have a Bloody Mary bar available for $5.
