About Isy B. Design
Isy B. designer and founder Isy Obi’s love of fashion was inherited from her mother who was also a fashion designer. As she grew up playing with fabrics in her mother’s atelier, designing clothes for herself, her sisters and her dolls, she was inspired to one day establish a fashion business of her own. Her successful career in finance took her around the world, eventually landing her in the Cayman Islands in 2005 where she still lives with her husband and their cat, Caramel.
The Cayman Islands are an idyllic tropical island paradise in the middle of the Caribbean Sea with summer temperatures up to 90 degrees, providing the backdrop for a glamorous lifestyle and lively social scene.
After wilting one too many times during the many poolside cocktail parties, Isy soon saw the need for beautiful dresses that would feel more comfortable in the heat. So began years of research and testing to find the perfect combination of fabrics for her designs. She now lives her dream everyday, designing the Isy B. range at her studio in the Cayman Islands and creating exquisite couture gowns for private client commissions.
