Well that was quick. Here we are again heading into Fall. Yes, our evenings are finally cooling off.
Over the past couple weeks I have heard more people getting sick with a little cough, sniffles or stomach aches and nausea.
It got me thinking about what is in everyones medicine cabinet this time of year.
Getting sick doesn’t always call for a trip to the doctors. Sometimes, we can holistically treat at home with rest, fluids and alternatives. It can be a worry with all the chemicals that are in typical over the counter medicines.
These 3 items are a must to always have on hand:
Colloidal Silver: My house is never with out this little gem. There is a multitude of uses for this liquid “gold” – actually silver. Wound care, antibacterial and even pink eye. But I am encouraging you to keep it in your house during this time of year for its immune building properties. You can even get this in a spray form as well.
Super Lysine by Quantum Health: It comes in a cream form in a tube. This is hands down the best cold sore treatment on the market. It is quick and easy. They also offer a tablet form. They help support the immune system. You can take this as a preventative measure all year.
Chestal – by Boiron: Great as a cough suppressant and minor sore throats. Also, relieves chest congestion. It comes in a children’s formula as well. Check out all of their products.
A few other great things to have on hand…
Neti Pot: Great for cleansing and refreshing nasal passages with a saline solution.
Hot Water Bottle: They bring relief to aching muscles and stomach aches.
In keeping ourselves well it is all about prevention and building a strong, healthy immune system to help our bodies fight off illness. Don’t wait until something happens. Be proactive and teach your family true wellness.
