Thirsty Lion Gastropub is celebrating the arrival of warmer weather with new seasonal items that cover every course and cocktails, as well.
All three Thirsty Lion locations in the Valley are currently featuring a seasonal spring menu with a variety of items to enjoy. Thirsty Lion Gastropub and Grill has locations in Tempe, Gilbert and at Scottsdale Fashion Square.
Three cocktails are on the “Spring Fresh Menu.” A Spicy Grapefruit Margarita that is made with Milagro tequila and jalapeno with just enough kick to raise the temperature a few degrees. They have a Kentucky Mule with Bulleit Bourbon and mint added. Finally, a Rhubarb Basil Martini that is smooth, refreshing and goes down fast. For fans of local craft beer, one of the season rotating beers on tap is THAT Brewery’s crisp Strawberry Blonde ale.
The spring items aren’t divided into courses but there are multiple items that fit in each category. The Pork Belly Bao Buns were a huge hit for everyone. The steamed bao buns were soft and almost marshmallow-like in their airiness. There’s two in each order, making it a perfectly-sized appetizer or snack. There’s also a Grilled Fresh Artichoke with crispy onions strings and a lemon thyme aioli.
The Coffee Crusted Grilled Skirt Steak Salad is loaded with ingredients and the spice-rubbed skirt steak is nice and tender. Other options include the Impossible Burger, a soy & plant-based burger, Korean fried chicken, pork carnitas tacos and a grilled shrimp and vegetable pad thai.
For dessert, Thirsty Lion is serving a Strawberry Rhubarb and White Chocolate Cheesecake that is creamy and rich and decadent. We’re pretty sure that dessert is perfect for any season.
