AZ Parks Passport
Arizona is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise, offering diverse landscapes from iconic cacti-studded landscapes to sandstone canyon walls, thick pine-tree forests to the Sky Islands of Southern Arizona. No matter the landscape, there is an adventure for visitors at one of our parks. The Arizona Parks Passport includes information and directions on the state’s 50-plus national and state parks, monuments and recreation areas.
The parks are searchable by name or can be filtered by proximity. There’s also the option to search parks by unique features, like “colorful canyons,” “dark sky wonders” or “lush landscapes,” and the passport will pull up the best examples of those specific features. Users gain access to descriptions, maps and directions to Arizona parks, plus a fun way to choose a park to visit (park admission not included).
Rock the Route: Rte. 66 Check-In Challenge
At nearly 100 years old, Route 66—the Main Street of America—evokes memories of quirky attractions, colorful history and family road trips. Arizona’s Route 66 is dotted with small towns and some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Southwest, along the longest remaining unbroken stretch, 158 miles from Ash Fork to the California state line. Along this route, expect to find kitschy shops, a street corner dedicated to an Eagles song, Jack Rabbit at the Jack Rabbit Trading Post near Joseph City, an alien welcoming people to Meteor Crater, and of course the famous teepees of the Wigwam Motel in Holbrook.
The Route 66 Check-in Challenge Passport is perfect for those who’ve never experienced the Mother Road before and for those ready to get reacquainted and find something new. Visitors can check in and be automatically entered to win cool prizes from the Arizona Office of Tourism and the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona.
Route 66’s centennial is coming up in 2026. Multi-state preparations are underway for the 100th anniversary, with more information coming in the near future.
Spooktacular Arizona: Haunted Attractions Passport
Spooky season is year-round in Arizona. Although this feels like it’s for Halloween, our paranormal partners – the ghosts of Arizona’s spooky attractions – have indicated they love to host visitors at all times of year. The Spookatcular passport connects visitors with dozens of haunted and spooky attractions across the state to explore the strange, spooky and supernatural side of Arizona. There are some great tours in places such as Flagstaff’s Monte Vista Hotel, the Jerome Grand Hotel and even the Yuma Territorial Prison.
Through the Visit Arizona Experience Passes, visitors can check in at each location and be automatically entered to win prizes from the Arizona Office of Tourism. Every check-in counts as an entry, so the more visits, the better the chances to win.
