Layout: If you’re the cook, you should consider having your range in the island or a place where you can face your guests while cooking.
Counter Space: Make sure you have sufficient space to prep your food with guests around or to display food for your guests to enjoy.
Seating: Include built in seating and standing space so that your guests are comfortable and feel included.
Lighting: Lighting sets the mood. Install dimmers so you can control the brightness and if possible consider windows for natural lighting.
Appliances: You should select appliances based on how and what foods you cook. Many times clients want double ovens, but there are ranges that offer built in double ovens which allow for more storage space in your kitchen.
