Cave + Post Trading Co. Opens in Phoenix

Cave + Post Trading Co., Phoenix’s newest eclectic gentleman’s mercantile and maker space, has opened its doors to the public and is offering visitors a curated selection of clothing, accessories and home goods. The spot is run by a husband-and-wife team, Patrick and Mary Burch, with the help of their five kids.

The family-oriented business opened in Uptown Phoenix in June, right next to the Mexican food hotspot, Tacos Chiwas, on East Indian School Road. Cave + Post has two distinct spaces; the building in the front is a boutique while the courtyard area leads to an artisan workshop or makerspace.

The boutique carries popular apparel brands like Freenote Cloth, Howler Brothers, Texas Standard, Taylor Stitch, Naked and Famous and Rhythm, to name a few. The selection features vintage items including jewelry, accessories, clothing and other eclectic items. Personal care products, home goods and lifestyle items can also be found inside.

The space features a separate music room that artfully showcases a collection of guitars to test before purchasing and a maker space where artisans can use the equipment and, in exchange, teach classes for the community on welding, woodworking, blacksmithing, leather smithing and much more.

“Whether guys are looking to refresh their summer wardrobe, or stylish Phoenicians are looking for unique gifts, home goods or just something fun and special, we’ve got them covered,” says Mary, who has more than a decade of experience as a buyer at Willows Fine Goods and Design in Arcadia.
