National Custom Home Builder of the Year and Scottsdale based luxury custom home builder Cullum Homes has been putting the finishing touches on their “Lego-like,” 4,415-square-foot house in The Village at Silverleaf community. Insulated Concrete Forms are frequently compared to Legos, so Cullum Homes and ICF Specialists Ltd. are teaming up to build this block toy concept in support of Special Olympics Arizona. This is the first time it has been done in Scottsdale.

The Arizona made ICF blocks are painted in bright colors like red, green, blue, white and yellow and resemble toy building blocks. Because of the concrete and foam construction, ICF structures are extremely energy efficient, sound proof, reduce up to 70% air pollution from the outside, and are resistant to hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, and termites. These homes are not only beneficial to the environment and communities, but they allow for a unique opportunity to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Arizona necessities.
