We all know the song “(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66.” Williams, which is 40 minutes west of Flagstaff and among the most well-preserved stretches of the iconic national highway, has kicks aplenty to fill a long weekend, especially if a lover of nature and wildlife.

New Phoenix Nonprofit: Maricopa Animal Safe Haven
In recent weeks, Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office (MSCO) Animal Safe Haven Unit announced the founding of Maricopa Animal Safe Haven (MASH), a 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to provide appropriate medical care for animals, work with the judicial system to determine ownership, and eventually ensure the animals are rehomed. The goal of the nonprofit is to raise the funds required to build a wholly new facility in Phoenix for the animals in the Safe Haven Unit.
